Michele Bialek
The Village Fool · Many paths, one village
Mother of six. Baker, healer, traveler, business builder. Many chapters, one very full life.
I’m Michele, rooted in Shelton, Connecticut, shaped by roads through the Southwest, a summer working in Alaska, and time with family in Sicily before backpacking through Europe. Back home, I founded Liquid Lunch and GROW, co-founded the Mary A. Schmecker Turtle Shell Fund, and served as an Alderman. Through it all, I’ve raised six amazing children. They’ve taught me a few things no business plan ever could.
These days, my voice is calmer and my pace is guided by grace. I bring the experience with me, not the hurry. There’s still plenty of curiosity, a sense of humor, and a place at the table.
A few chapters of my life ↗Beneath the maple
Every village needs a place to pause and find each other. Mine’s under the maple. The houses hold different parts of my life; the green is where they come together.
Not sure which door to knock on?
Ask the village guide
Tell me what you’re looking for, in your own words, and I’ll point you to the right cottage.
Because there’s always more to learn, and someone has to ask the good questions.
I don’t see these as separate lives. In a kitchen, a healing room, a business, or a town, I’m paying attention to the same things: what needs care, what’s ready to grow, and where we can make room for one another. I believe in balance, in belonging, and in people finding their part in the village. Something good to eat rarely hurts, either.
